WARNING: Contest Monster Approaching



I'm currently 4 weeks out from the IFBB CALIFORNIA GOVERNORS CUP PRO FIGURE SHOW and I'm noticing that my CONTEST MONSTER is slowly approaching. This is a kind of mental, physical and emotional transformation that I go through in order to deal with the increased intensity of the next few weeks. I start shutting the world off slowly so I can wholeheartedly concentrate on my goal at hand. To kill every workout and cardio session to the best of my ability. To stick to my meal plan above and beyond what's called for. To get the proper amount of sleep needed no matter what. To recuperate properly every day so I can be in peak physical condition and hit EVERY workout with everything I've got. Hey, this 51 year old booty is heading south a lot faster than I'd like, so I'm either sticking to my plan, or I'm veering off course. And for me, that second option is not really an option. I surround myself with ONLY positive people. I can be negative all on my own, so I don't want or need the yucky vibes right now. I watch nothing but upbeat, positive and inspirational movies and videos to keep my head IN THAT GOOD SPACE that I need to be in day in and day out. I review my past contest pics to remind myself what needs improvement. And I become a lot more serious and focused about my daily doings. I may not be the most pleasant person to be around, but you can bet your ass I'm on course. At this point, it's all about the contest prep, so that's it and that's all!!!
